Sally Robinson has been named CPHVA's Community Nursery Nurse of the Year, 2013 - Feeding for Life Foundation (FfLF) were proud sponsors of the AwardCPHVA Logo

The 2013 CPHVA Awards took place on the 13th March at IET London: Savoy Place, recognising the extraordinary work that CPHVA members carry out every day with huge dedication.

Sally Robinson of Kent Community Health NHS Trust, Ashford, was presented with the Community Practitioners' and Health Visitors' Association award for Community Nursery Nurse of the Year.

Sally has delivered outstanding health promotion and early intervention to hundreds of children and their families across the early and school years age range. Sally continually strives to ensure a seamless service with high-quality intervention and communications across the health visiting and school nurse professions. She empowers parents through listening and responding to parents' strengths, and supporting the parent to identify how they can build on or transfer their skills to best support the development of their child. Parental feedback is always positive when Sally has delivered a care package or development assessment.

The two other named finalists for the Community Nursery Nurse of the Year award were Maggie Horne and Rebecca Jaffri.

The Feeding for Life Foundation (FfLF) were proud sponsors of this year's award, reflecting the Foundation's continued commitment to best practice and improving early nutrition to influence future health outcomes.
